We had our annual awards ceremony

Our members and local businesses celebrated our first ever virtual awards ceremony last month.

We gave out four awards, after enjoying an exciting virtual visit from River’s Rodents and Reptiles.

Seven winners were chosen in the following categories:

Flossie Award (named in tribute to a former PAL)

Ottilie Bankes – for her Captain Sir Tom Moore-inspired fundraising walk for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Chloe Marriage for raising thousands of pounds for The Spinal Injuries Association riding from Bristol to Newbury.

Anne Richardson Award

Faye Snook – for her dedication as a volunteer and her fundraising efforts.

Chairman’s Award

Emma Potter and Steph Martin – for their continued support to PALS.

Business Award

Apple Print & Creative and Henwick Manor – for giving their time and resources to support PALS.

Ottilie said: “I feel proud to have received the Flossie Award for my fundraising walk

during lockdown which was inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore. I now feel

excited to tackle another challenge .. so watch me go.”

Our Chair Paula added: “Our awards ceremony is a very popular event and it was great to see so many of our members and their families this year.

“The entertainment was great fun and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. All of our award winners deserved to be recognised for their amazing achievements and for their support.”
